To encourage increased blog readership, follow blogs that discuss the same subjects yours does. Comment on those blogs, with insightful, valuable information and link to your own blog. This can encourage other bloggers and their readers to visit you.

Work on your word count. A good article should not be too long to be entertaining, or too short to be informative. Different article directories want different sized articles as well. Most look for articles between three hundred to eight hundred words, so if you consistently stick with five hundred, you should be fine.

Name a list or include numbers in your title. Studies have shown that most people are more likely to read something if it offers a list-style format or offers you a number of ways to do something. Take advantage of this, when both writing your article and choosing a title, to secure the most readers.

With article marketing, the most important part is the title of the article. The title is what grabs the reader’s attention and makes them want to read more. The article’s title should tell the reader what information the article offers in a succinct manner. Whenever possible, give the reader all this information within the first three or four words.

Become an “expert”. Research and write about topics that are related to each other to become the go-to person for a specific subject. Your audience will learn to trust your advice, and continue returning to your articles. They are also more likely to buy products recommended by someone they consider to be well-versed.
